Continuing its trend of being the most anticipated panel at the 2022 San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios announced that it was bringing back the blind crimefighting hero with Daredevil: Born again, which is set to release in the Spring of 2024.

The new take on the blind superhero is a revival fourth season of the show that was cancelled by Netflix in November, 2018.

Actor Charlie Cox will reprise his role as the daytime lawyer Matt Murdock and nighttime superhero, Daredevil. Also on his way back is the towering Vincent D’Onofrio who is going back to playing New York City crime boss, Wilson Fisk.

The last we heard from the two characters were from season 3 of Daredevil back in October 2018 when the show was the property of Netflix.

But that hasn’t stopped the two characters from reappearing in Marvel’s shows and movies. Murdock made a cameo appearance at the beginning of ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ as Peter Parker’s lawyer. Similarly, Fisk reappeared, albeit briefly in the ‘Hawkeye’ television miniseries as the show headed towards its finale.

This year, the show was removed from Netflix after Disney reacquired the rights to it, along with many other Marvel shows that the streaming company had created. It is now streaming on the entertainment giant’s own platform, Disney+

The Daredevil show has been a hot-requested addition for many Marvel fans, given its incredible popularity during its run on Netflix. The revival is set to be an 18-episode run, though Marvel Studios hasn’t explicitly said when it will be out, apart from providing the Spring 2024 window.

This year’s Marvel Comic Con panel came with a host of other surprises as the studio announced a host of other film IPs and new television shows. The current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be ending this year. The new phase, titled the ‘Mulitverse Saga’ will be starting with ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quantamania’ and will go until the new ‘Thunderbolts’ movie, which is coming to theatres on July 26, 2024.
