The second edition of the DC FanDome event on Saturday saw a flurry of exclusive trailers and never-before-seen footage of DC’s upcoming projects being released and left the fans smacking their lips. 

The event, which streamed on DCfandome’s official website in addition to DC’s Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts, had an incredible highlight reel with the first trailer of the highly-anticipated “The Batman” film literally stealing all the thunder.

1. “The Batman” first trailer

The film, starring Robert Pattinson, got its trailer released by Warner Bros. at the DC FanDome 2021 event. Director Matt Reeves will helm “The Batman” project. Meanwhile, apart from Pattinson, the movie also stars Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell.

The film will hit the theatres worldwide on March 4 next year.

2. “The Flash” teaser reveal

DC FanDome further rewarded the fans as they unveiled a teaser of “The Flash” film starring Ezra Miller. The sneak peek hints at the reported inclusion of not one but two Batman stars. The over-a-minute-long footage also teases the addition of the iconic Batmobile from Michael Keaton’s Batman to the upcoming film.

Not only two Batmans, but the film will also feature two Flashes, alternate multiverse versions of the character, both played by Miller. 

3. “Peacemaker” series trailer launch

Meanwhile, NBO Max joined the party with the trailer of John Cena-starrer series “Peacemaker.” 

The series, that premiers in January next year, stars Cena in the titular role, Steve Agee as John Economos, and Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo.

James Gunn is the writer of the series, writing all eight episodes, while also running the show. Gunn wrote all the episodes of the series while completing work on The Suicide Squad during the COVID-19 pandemic  

4. First look of Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate

Pierce Brosnan’s first look as Doctor Fate in the Dwayne Johnson-led “Black Adam” that wrapped production in July was also revealed at the event.

Ever since the former James Bond teased his Doctor Fate costume on Instagram, fans have been excited about seeing his look in the movie. Brosnan had said his costume requires him to wear a motion-capture suit.

5. New look for Grant Gustin’s Flash

The new look of Grant Gustin’s version of the spandex-suited speedster in the eighth season of “The Flash” series was also revealed at the event. The eighth season will be dropping on CW on November 16.

6. Something for the video game connoisseurs

For fans of video games, 

Rocksteady Studios, the British video game developers, dropped the trailer of their new Suicide Squad game during the event.

The game, titled “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” will be an open-world action game about the darling misfits of the DC Comics world, who have been brainwashed by the supervillain Brainiac.
