- Warner Bros. and DC Comics unveiled a teaser of the "The Flash" film
- The sneak peek hints at the reported inclusion of not one but two Batman stars
- The film is directed by Andy Muschietti
The latest edition of DC FanDome has rewarded the fans as Warner Bros. and DC Comics unveiled a teaser of the highly-anticipated "The Flash" film starring Ezra Miller on Saturday. The sneak peek hints at the reported inclusion of not one but two Batman stars. The over-a-minute-long footage also teases the addition of the iconic Batmobile from Michael Keaton's Batman to the upcoming film.
"The Flash," which is set to premiere on November 4, 2022, is directed by Andy Muschietti, one of the directors of the horror film "IT" and its sequel. Meanwhile, Keaton and Ben Affleck are both set to reprise their roles as Batman in the film.
Keaton first starred as Batman in the 1989 Tim Burton Batman movie and was also part of its sequel. Sasha Calle is also set to star as Supergirl and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West in the new film influenced by the comic book Flashpoint Paradox, which featured alternate timelines. The storyline will allow the filmmakers to play with the multiverse angles and bring in the two rubber-suited Batman together.
Not only two Batmans, but the film will also feature two Flashes, alternate multiverse versions of the character, both played by Miller.
Ezra Miller was cast as Barry Allen in the DC Extended Universe way back in 2014, and made his debut in 2016's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." His quirky portrayal of the spandex-suited speedster has already become a fan-favourite and after a lot of delays, he is set to finally get his solo film.
Meanwhile, the other highlight reels of DC FanDome 2021 included, Dwayne Johnson putting out the extensive first look of his film Black Adam. The sneak peek of the new Aquaman film was also released on Saturday. The first look of the CW series “The Flash” has also come out.
