Rocksteady Studios, the British video game developers, dropped the trailer of their new Suicide Squad game during DC FanDome on Saturday. The game, called “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” will be an open-world action game about the darling misfits of the DC Comics world, who have been brainwashed by the supervillain Brainiac.

Rocksteady Studios was the team behind the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham games and the new game will also take place in the already established “Arkham-verse” in Metropolis.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature four (now) well-known anti-heroes — Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark — on a mission to stop not just Brainiac, but also evil versions of DC heroes such as Superman.

As seen in the trailer, the four anti-heroes are introduced in a hilarious fashion. Deadshot was referred to as the “muscle-head” by Brainiac, Harley Quinn as the “nut job”, King Shark as “something that offends my eyes” and a “homeless guy” Captain Boomerang.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in 2022.

Meanwhile, the other highlight reels of DC FanDome 2021 included, Dwayne Johnson putting out the extensive first look of his film Black Adam. The sneak peek of the new Aquaman film was also released on Saturday. The first look of the CW series “The Flash” has also come out.

Warner Bros. returned with the second edition of DC FanDome on Saturday. The event brings to the fans sneak peeks and new footage from upcoming superhero movies. Some of the celebrities like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Jason Momoa, and Robert Pattinson have either made their appearance or are expected to do so at the free virtual fan event.
