Marvel fans are in a state of confusion as news has emerged that Rob Delaney’s Peter, also known as Sugar Bear, will be making a return in Deadpool 3. The news was first reported by Deadline and later confirmed by lead star and co-producer Ryan Reynolds on Twitter.

Peter was first introduced in the 2018 release, Deadpool 2. He was recruited into Deadpool’s X-Force team despite having no superpowers, and quickly became a fan favorite due to his dry humor, which was in line with the film’s comedic tone. However, fans were left heartbroken when Peter died in a skydiving sequence.

Given that Peter died in the previous film, fans have been left scratching their heads as to how he will be making a return. This confusion has only been exacerbated by the fact that several other Deadpool alumni are also returning for the third installment. Dopinder (Deadpool’s cab driver/sidekick), Blind AI (his roommate), Vanessa (his fiancée), and Colossus (the metallic mutant) are all set to appear in the threequel.

One theory that has been put forward is that Peter’s return is linked to the extended post-credit scene of Deadpool 2. In that scene, Deadpool goes back in time and warns Peter, asking him to step back and go home, which apparently saves his life. This means that his return is not entirely surprising.

Many fans have taken to social media to speculate about how the character will be brought back to life, with some even suggesting that he may have a new superpower.

Deadpool 3 is being produced by Marvel and Ryan Reynolds-owned Maximum Effort, and is currently in production. The film is set to be released on November 8, 2024, and is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year.

While fans are confused about how Peter will be making a return in Deadpool 3, they are nonetheless eagerly anticipating the third installment of the franchise. With several beloved characters returning and the addition of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the film is shaping up to be one of the most exciting releases in recent years.
