Deltarune Chapter 2, which is the second instalment of the follow-up to Toby Fox’s Undertale, will arrive later this week on September 17.

Fans had been eagerly waiting for an update on the progress being made on Deltarune Chapter 2.

Their prayers were answered at Undertale’s sixth anniversary celebration event, where a trailer for Deltarune’s second chapter was revealed with a release date of September 17.

The original Deltarune was released back in 2018 and surprised Undertale fans as it came out of nowhere.

Although Deltarune Chapter 1 also came out on Switch and PS4, the announcement for the second edition only mentioned PC and Mac.

For a successful transfer of save files from Deltarune: Chapter 1 to Deltarune: Chapter 2, players must see the credits of the first game.

Chapter 1’s “completion data” will be created when you “go to sleep in your bed at the end of the game.”

In case of players switching computer systems between playing the first and second chapters, the FAQ section advises that, “as long as you generally remember what happened story-wise, you’ll be fine.”

The announcement was made after Undertale creator Toby Fox participated in a playthrough of Deltarune: Chapter 1.

The extended glimpse of Chapter 2 teases the fans on what to expect in the sequel arriving after three years of the original.
