In response to rumors that Selena Gomez is at odds with his wife Hailey Bieber, Justin Bieber seemed to make fun of his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Over the weekend, the singer honored his 29th birthday with his closest friends and family by throwing a party. His ex-girlfriend Gomez was not invited, despite the fact that he seemed to make allusion to the actress in the party favors he distributed that day.
A silver memento bearing the words ‘I’m so thankful that I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.’ was given to guests. Fans immediately assumed Bieber’s gift was a jab at his ex and called the artist “petty” even though he didn’t explain the meaning behind it.
Gomez appeared to address the drama shortly after Bieber was accused of throwing shade, taking to TikTok to call on people to ‘be kind’ and insisting she ‘only wants the best for everyone.’
‘Thank you and love you all so much,’ she wrote beneath a video of herself doing a makeup tutorial. ‘ I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.’
‘Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health. My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love,’ she continued.

The drama began when footage of Hailey mocking Taylor Swift while co-hosting the show Drop The Mic surfaced. Gomez responded to the video, saying, ‘So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game.’
Since Hailey had also previously shared a TikTok video of herself with Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye lip-syncing to audio saying: “I’m not saying she deserves it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always perfect,” internet users began labeling Hailey as a “mean girl” as a result.
Gomez and Bieber dated on and off for eight years before calling it quits for good in 2018. Bieber proposed to Hailey, whom he had first dated for about a month in 2015.
