American socialite Kim Kardashian and comedian Pete Davidson have reportedly split up after nine months of dating. The 41-year-old influencer was seen together with the former Saturday Night Live star around the time her marriage with Kanye West, or Ye was nearing an end.
They reportedly called it off due to demanding schedules. Here’s a look at all that happened with two new lovers and one hung-up ex.
One kiss is all it takes
Kardashian hosted SNL in October 2021 and shared a kiss with Davidson onstage during the Jasmine and Aladdin sketch.
“When we kissed, I was just like, Hmm. It was a stage kiss, but it was still like…a little zing, you know? It wasn’t anything, like, super-crazy feeling, I was just like, Hmm”, Kardashian said in the Not Skinny but Not Fat interview, adding, “I haven’t kissed anyone else in 10 years, so maybe I’m just being stupid and it’s just nothing and it’s just a stage kiss,” but a few days later, “I was like, Hmm, there is some BDE action, how am I gonna…I just gotta get myself out there.”
Set the dates
The couple was then spotted together numerous times, on Staten Island at one of Davidson’s favourite restaurants and in Manhattan.

At this time, Ye maintained that he wanted to get back together with Kardashian. In November 2021, as reports of Kardashian and Davidson dating became more prominent, Ye noted that he was “hurting” and didn’t approve of the relationship.
Vacay-time
After a few more instances of being spotted together, Kardashian and Davidson were seen jet-setting off to the Bahamas. The influencer’s pictures, presumably from her time in the Bahamas, had the internet guessing whether the shadow in the third image is Davidson’s.
Around this time, Ye dropped his song The Game, which has the lines “God saved me from that crash/Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass”.
It’s official, they’re dating
Davidson confirmed the relationship in an interview with People on February 8, 2022, calling Kardashian his girlfriend. She also posted the comedian’s pictures on her Instagram feed for the first time, making things official.
Public appearances
After taking their relationship public, Davidson and Kardashian were spotted together at a number of events, including the premiere of The Kardashians on Hulu, a follow-up to the original reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
They were also seen together at the 23rd Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in Washington, DC on April 24.
The White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 30 also saw the couple in attendance and Kardashian even posted pictures of them together.
On May 2, they again appeared at the Met Gala, where Kardashian infamously wore the same dress that Marilyn Monroe did while crooning Happy Birthday Mr President to John F Kennedy.
A little bit of PDA in the life
The couple posted a string of videos and images showing they were in love, with Kardashian making a sweet nail art with “P” for Pete, when her comedian boyfriend was unable to attend Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding.
On May 30, Davidson even bleached his hair to match Kardashian.
Lull and trying to make a long-distance work
With Davidson filming in Australia, the couple’s relationship reached a lull, though there’ve been mentions of Davidson in Kardashian’s interviews, and she even flew to Australia to be with him.
Sources also noted that despite the distance the two were incredibly close to each other.

A day before the news of the breakup surfaced, US Weekly reported “Kim and Pete are in constant communication”, adding, “They send each other love notes while the other is sleeping and FaceTime whenever their schedules link up.”
This seems to be the end for ‘Kete’, Davidson and Kardashian’s relationship name. However, there’s been no official confirmation from either side yet.
