Glenn Close, who played Cruella in ‘101’ and its 2000 sequel, ‘102 Dalmations’ is an executive producer on this new adaptation.
Talking about Close during the D23 expo in 2019, Stone said, “I think she’s obviously the GOAT. But I also have just loved the cartoon for a really long time.”
She added, “This comes before [Close’s] story. This leads to her to where she becomes true greatness.”
The Oscar-winner’s first look as the character was first revealed by Disney in August 2019. It had said, “Here’s your first look at Emma Stone as Cruella de Vil in Disney’s Cruella. The film, also starring Emma Thompson, Paul Walter Hauser, and Joel Fry.”
