Disney has unveiled a new poster for the upcoming Star Wars Andor series three weeks before the show’s release. It offers a fresh look at the cast and the inevitable battle that’s to come.

The poster looks similar to previous Star Wars reveals, offering a look at the ensemble cast which includes Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor, Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, and Forest Whitaker’s Saw Garrera, among others.

In the background, TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers are visible in the distance with smoke billowing on one side. The tagline “The Rebellion Begins” accompanies the poster.

One Twitter user commented “READY FOR REBELLION”, to which the official Disney handle replied, “We are ready”.

The plot follows Rogue One’s Cassian Andor against the backdrop of the slowly forming Rebel Alliance. It joins the Disney+ Star Wars offerings alongside The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

However, instead of going a CGI-heavy way, this series has opted to use location shooting as well as backlot sets. Andor is now slated to release on September 21, resulting in a three-week delay.

“IT SHOULDVE BEEN TODAY!!!”, one Twitter user commented in the thread where the new poster was shared.

There will be a three-episode premiere, and the show is set five years before the Death Star plans are stolen. A second season is already being planned, which means Andor will have to prove itself upon release. However, fans seem lined up to lap up the new Stars Wars content with one Twitter user commenting that the play button would receive quite a few clicks the day the series releases.

Some fans have also drawn parallels to the Rogue One poster.

The Twitter user commented, “i see what you’re doing”.

Another fan of the franchise explained, “I think there’s a lot to be said about how in the Andor poster, Cassian is looking back, while in Rogue One, Jyn is looking forward. Once she learns about Galen’s plans, Jyn sees hope where Cassian once saw only fear and suspicion.”
