Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ is the second solo Marvel movie where Benedict Cumberbatch plays the titular sorcerer.

In the second instalment, we see Strange bored in the New York Sanctum, with Wong having taken over the duties of the Sorcerer Supreme during the wizard’s absence. However, he soon embarks on an adventure that explores the concept of the multiverse, which was first introduced in the Disney+ series, ‘Loki‘.

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ closes out the storyline but sets up more narratives. Here’s what happens at the movie’s conclusion.

[Warning: Spoilers ahead]

‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ sees Wanda Maximoff take on a villainous avatar, as she destroys the Darkhold temple along with all versions of the book across the multiverse so that nobody can use spells again.

America Chavez, the superhero with the ability to punch holes through dimensions, is able to make Maximoff back down by showing her a reality where her children fear her. Not wishing to be the reason behind the terror on her children’s faces, the superhero backs off as Wong, Strange, and Chavez try to fix things thereafter.

While Chavez finds she can control her abilities with the help of Strange, the two sorcerers attempt to rebuild Kamar Taj, where Strange had first received his training. Both Wong and Doctor Strange try to train apprentices so things return to normal. Chavez decides to remain at Kamar Taj too. With Maximoff presumably dead and Chavez yet to find her parents, the movie’s ending also shows us Doctor Strange coming in possession of the Third Eye.
