‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ released a new trailer during the Super Bowl LVI. It shows Marvel at its best in Phase 4, with old and new superheroes reuniting.
Doctor Strange seems to deal with the consequences of his actions in ‘Spider Man: No Way Home‘. The maverick sorcerer has opened a doorway between universes, and nobody knows who or what might step in.
The trailer shows Benedict Cumberbatch’s character saying that every night he sees the same dream. This is filled with ominous images, but his next statement cements that after he wakes up the nightmare begins. However, we understand that he did what he had to, in order to protect the world.

Next, with the two-minute video, the audience is transported into a crazy dimension as we meet the counterparts of Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff. Some known characters return as well, including Sorcerer Supreme Wong, and Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer. Mordo returns too, and it remains to be seen if he will step into the role of the villain yet.
Meanwhile, Doctor Strange seems like he has to face some sort of punishment for his actions but instead is confronted with the truth.

Thus far, we have already met two of Doctor Strange’s variants – the good sorcerer, and his evil counterpart, Defender Strange. While the idea of the multiverse has been well-teased in shows like ‘WandaVision‘, ‘What If…?‘, and ‘Loki‘, this is the first film that will fully explore this warped aspect of the Marvel comics.
