Actor Radhika Apte has recently revealed why she married British musician Benedict Taylor in 2012. Because it was “easier to get a visa.” In a recent conversation with actor Vikrant Massey, Apte said she is not a “big marriage person” and does not believe in the institution of marriage.

The ‘Andhadhun’ actor, who is currently in London with her husband, said she got married when she “realised that it is easier to get a visa when you are married.” Apte was saying in response to the question  “When did Radhika Apte get married?”

Apte and Massey were answering ‘other’ questions about themselves in the conversation, which they are not usually asked.

“Well, when I realised that it is easier to get a visa when you are married. I think there should be no boundaries. I am not a big marriage person, I don’t believe in the institution. I got married because visa was really a problem and we wanted to live together. I think that’s not fair.”

The conversation of Apte and ‘Mirzapur’ actor Massey was featured on social media account of Netflix India.

Apte was last seen in the Netflix movie ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ that also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
