Olivia Wilde appeared on The Late Show where Stephen Colbert asked her whether Harry Styles spat on co-star Chris Pine during the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling. Wilde’s movie hits theatres soon and the actor-turned-director was on the show to promote it, after early screenings garnered mixed reviews.

Laughing, Wilde replied, “No, he did not. But I think it’s a perfect example of, like, people will look for drama anywhere they can. Harry did not spit on Chris, in fact …”.
Colbert added, “Only time will tell.”
Don’t Worry Darling has been the focus of much attention due to the news of many controversies that unfolded during the filming. There have been reports of a rift between Wilde and Florence Pugh, who’s part of the cast. Wilde also began dating Styles soon after production for the movie started.
Despite the undercurrent of tension, all parties have categorically denied that Styles spat on Pine. Wilde’s version came on television, but the Wonder Woman actor issued his statement clearing Styles’ name of the whole dealer. Styles also joked about the incident which had taken place during the Venice Film Festival, while performing at Madison Square Garden.
