If you love watching horror movies without getting up at night at the thought of a random ghost under your bed, we have the news of the decade for you. A finance company, Finance Buzz, is offering $1,300 to individuals who can watch 13 horror movies in 10 consecutive days in October. The company will monitor the participant’s heart rate while watching the movies.

“In honour of the upcoming spooky season, we at FinanceBuzz are dying to know whether or not high-budget horror movies deliver stronger scares than low-budget ones. You’ll help us discover whether or not a movie’s budget impacts just how dread-inducing it can be by wearing a Fitbit to monitor your heart rate while you work your way through the list of 13 movies,” the company said in a statement.

This initiative is being called the “Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst”  and the company will use a Fitbit provided by FinanceBuzz to track their heart rate while watching a combination of high-budget and low-budget horror films.

The idea behind this activity is to see if the budget of a scary movie has an impact on its horror factor and whether or not it seems terrifying to the audience.

Those who want to apply for this activity can submit their application by midnight ET on Sunday, September 26. The winner will be chosen and notified by email by October 1.

The films that the participants will watch are pre-decided and the FinanceBuzz has also released a list of both high and low-budget movies. The list includes:

1- Saw

2- The Amityville Horror

3- A Quiet Place

4- A Quiet Place Part II

5- Candyman

6- Insidious

7- The Blair Witch Project

8- Sinister

9- Get Out

10- The Purge

11- Halloween (2018)

12- Paranormal Activity

13- Annabelle

The punch is that the participants will have to watch all of these movies in 10 days.

The Horror Movie Heart Rate Analyst will receive $1,300 for their efforts and will also get a $50 gift card to cover movie rental costs.
