MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, a three-part Netflix documentary, will be available to stream on March 8 – which is the ninth anniversary of the Malaysian Airlines’ plane disappearance.

Flight MH370 went missing on March 8, 2014, while traveling fro, Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 passengers and crew on board. Shortly after takeoff, the plane disappeared from radar screens and, despite a multi-million dollar search – headed by Australia – the mystery behind its whereabouts has not been unraveled.

The Netflix documentary will feature a global community of family members, scientists and investigative journalists, all of whom continue to search for closure.

The first episode will showcase the first few hours and days following the plane’s disappearance, including what happened when conspiracy theories started to emerge.

In Episode 2, experts will discuss how the chances of two aircraft – MH370 and MH17 _ gave rise to more theories.

Episode 3 will discuss a large section of a plane wing washed up on the shore off the East African Coast that was confirmed to be from the missing plane.

Jeff Wise, science journalist and author of The Plane That Wasn’t There: Why We Haven’t Found MH370, will be seen in the docuseries along with reporter and foreign correspondent Florence de Changy, among others.

The director of the docuseries, Louise Malkinson said“[The families] want people to keep talking about this. The families want a platform to be able to say, ‘Come on, it’s been nine years.’ They were all united on that.”
