As they do every year, fans began to gather outside Mannat, the Mumbai home of film star Shah Rukh Khan, who will be celebrating his 56th birthday with his family today. On his part, Shah Rukh Khan has always made it a point to stand on his balcony and wave to his followers on his birthday.

Some fans were holding giant posters dedicated to Shah Rukh Khan, expressing their love and support for him. “We all the fans across each and every corner of the globe stand with you and your family. We love you so deeply and unconditionally. We are always with you and forever! Take care King!” read one of the posters.

Shah Rukh Khan and his family have had a challenging few weeks with his son Aryan Khan returning home on bail after being arrested in a drug case last month. The superstar’s fans and well-wishers have been equally concerned, and support has been flooding in from all sides. Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Salim Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Seema Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Hrithik Roshan and others stood beside Shah Rukh Khan like a rock during this time.

According to a Mid-day report, in order to give Aryan some time to settle down, the actor has urged his friends to avoid visiting him on his birthday. He also hasn’t decided whether to celebrate the day at his Mumbai home or at his Alibaug farmhouse.

In terms of work, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan,’ which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
