Many won’t disagree that after
Kajol, one actress with whom Shah Rukh Khan looked absolutely perfect and very
much in love onscreen was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Their chemistry in films like
‘Devdas and ‘Mohabbatein’ made them one of the best pairs in the tinsel town.

Aishwarya, who was born on
November 1, and Shah Rukh Khan, born on November 2, made every character
absolutely perfect or should we say ‘Perfectly Splendid’ like the way Flora
Wingrave compliments in ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’.

Whether it is playing romantic
roles or portraying the character of brother-sister, their craze is phenomenal
so much so that movie buffs didn’t mind looking at these two together for just
one scene in Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. SRK played Aishwarya’s
ex-husband in the film
that they both did together after a decade.

As they are gearing up for
another year of aging gracefully, Opoyi spoke to some of the TV stars who
shared their favourite memories of seeing these two stars together on big
screen.

Avinash Mukherjee, who is seen
in “Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki”: SRK and Aishwarya’s jodi is just
magical. They have given us some beautiful films, and some beautiful moments.
When both of them come on-screen it’s so graceful. My favourite movie of them
is “Mohabbatein” and my favourite moment of the film is the love that
is shown between them and their chemistry and how they portrayed it in the song
“Duniya mein kitni hai nafratein”, when she sings to SRK while he is
playing the dhol and is looking at her, the song is in the voice of Lata
Mangeshkar, it is one of the best moments of Indian celluloid.

Urvashi Upadhyay Sharle, who
was last seen as Begum Noorjahan in “Ishq Shubhan Allah”: Aishwarya
and Shah Rukh both are my favourite actors, and seeing them together on-screen
is a special feeling for me. My favourite movie of this duo is Sanjay Leela
Bhansali’s “Devdas”. My favourite on-screen memory of them was when I
went to watch the film with the English department of my college. Me and my
best friend were sitting next to each other and the whole class was enjoying
the movie, while we were crying profusely throughout. My class asked to leave
because we disturbed them so much. It was quite funny. Later, we watched the
movie again and cried during the same scenes. I can never forget this memory
attached to “Devdas”.

Pranitaa Pandit, last seen in
“Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki”: I just love seeing Aishwarya and SRK
on-screen. Even the few minutes scene in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” speaks
about the sizzling chemistry between the duo. But believe it or not, my
favourite movie of them is “Josh”. I agree their romantic pairing is
one of the best on-screen jodis, but in “Josh” they have so
beautifully presented the bitter-sweet relationship of siblings. My favourite
moment from the movie is the song “Apun bola”, their fun banter was a
delight to watch, and I guess in real life too a sister helps her brother
confess about his love in the same way.
