Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is in the final rounds of negotiations to join the cast of Marvel Studios’ series ‘Secret Invasion’, according to reports by Variety. The series is currently running through its pre-productions stage and will release on Over The Top (OTT) platform Disney Plus.

Emilia is known for her character, Daenerys Targaryen, mother of dragons, in George R. R. Martin’s ‘Game of Thrones’. If the negotiations work out well from both ends, ‘Secret Invasion’ will be her first project with Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, who played the role of Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix series ‘Crown’ season 3, was also pitched in for the Disney Plus series few days back. Other casts, include Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

‘Secret Invasion’ series is said to follow a group of shape-shifting aliens, who have been invading Earth for years. Jackson will be seen in the role of Nick Fury, Mendelsohn will play his role of the Skrull Talos from movie Captain Marvel. Ben-Adir has been set as the main villain. While, its still unclear about the part that Clarke will play.

The series will be one more addition of MCU titles made for Disney Plus, which is the streaming home for almost all Marvel movies and series. Recently, MCU’s WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier were also released in Disney’s OTT platform.
