Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is dubbed as Hindi film industry’s ‘heartthrob’ by his millions of fans, had a fanboy moment himself when he bumped into his favourite actor and Hollywood star Natalie Portman in New York. Unfortunately, his interaction was not as smooth as one might think.

In 2016, Ranbir narrated his awkward interaction with Natalie during an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, where he came to promote his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with co-actor Anushka Sharma.

Recalling the meeting, the 38-year-old actor said in Hindi, “I was walking on the streets of New York. Actually, I was running because I needed to pee. I was running towards my hotel and she [Natalie] crossed my path while talking on her phone. I realised that she was Natalie Portman so I turned around, ran to her and requested a picture.”

In his excitement to get a picture with Natalie, Ranbir did not realise that she was crying. She angrily turned to him and said, “Get lost, I say!”

However, this didn’t change Ranbir’s admiration for the ‘Star Wars’ fame. He further added that he is still a big fan of her and if he again bumps into Natalie, he will act the same by requesting a selfie with her.

“It is not like this made me any less of a fan than I already am. If I meet her on the street tomorrow, I will again request a picture with her,” he said.

Ranbir is currently working on her upcoming films ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Shamshera’ and will soon start shooting for Luv Ranjan’s untitled romantic drama starring Shraddha Kapoor.
