After an epic battle in 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, the two titans will reunite once again for another film. The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The two production houses said the two monsters will fight “a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own.”
The next installment is likely to explore how the Titans came into existence by diving into their history. It will also discover the battles that created them and established their link with humans.

Adam Wingard will return to helm this MonsterVerse project. Cast members Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle will reprise their roles, with new comers Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House. Screenwriters Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater and Simon Barrett. It is being shot on location in Queensland, Australia.
It will take a while for the film to hit the big screens. However, this untitled project is set for a release on March 15, 2024.

Besides the upcoming film, an animated series featuring King Kong is also in the works as per a report by Deadline.
IGN, a video game and entertainment-based website, rated the previous installment 7/10, saying that “it is a glorious love letter to these iconic characters’ collective histories and a satisfying culmination of the arc leading up to it.”
The film was received with generally favourable reviews from critics. It also amassed a 7.7 rating on IMDb, a user review site.
This announcement was made just some days after Deadline reported a new King Kong series in development. This Disney+ series would focus on the origin of the monkeys and will be based on filmmaker Merian Cooper’s original books.
