Hollywood actor Ray Liotta, who is best known for playing Henry Hill in the1990 Martin Scorsese crime classic ‘Goodfellas’, died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was shooting for his new movie ‘Dangerous Waters,’ Deadline reported. He was 67. 

The actor also played the role of Shoeless Joe Jackson in ‘Field of Dreams’ and made appearances in ‘Hannibal,’ ‘Narc,’ ‘Blow’ and ‘Copland’.

He recently made an appearance in the 2019 Netflix movie ‘Marriage Story’ and the ‘Sopranos’ prequel series ‘Many Saints of Newark.’

His upcoming project ‘Dangerous Waters’ also stars Odeya Rush, Eric Dane and Saffron Burrows. It is reportedly a story of a sailing holiday that changes when a teenage daughter uncovers the dark past of her mother’s new boyfriend.

The actor leaves behind a daughter, Karsen. He was engaged to Jacy Nittolo.

“I’m really sad to hear that Ray Liotta has passed away. He was an friend back in the day and it’s very sad. We had a lot of laughs Rest In Peace My friend,” BAFTA winner Rosanna Arquette wrote on social media.

90210” star Trevor Donovan said, “RIP to the legend Ray Liotta. It was an honor to work with him for 6 months filming ‘Texas Rising’ in Mexico. He was one of the good ones. Condolences to his family.”
