American rock band Foo Fighters won three awards at the 64th annual Grammy Awards, just days after the death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins. The band won Grammys for best rock performance, best rock song, and best rock album, however, no one from the group was present at Sunday’s event to accept the awards.

Taylor Hawkins, who had been the band’s drummer for 25 years, died on March 25 at age 50 in Bogota, Colombia, where the band had been scheduled to play a music festival.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever… Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time,” a statement on the band’s official page stated.

Colombian authorities said the drummer had 10 substances, including opioids, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and THC, in his system when he was found dead. Authorities, however, did not rule on the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the hand had been scheduled to perform on the Grammys telecast.

“We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned,” the band had said in a statement. “Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.”

Producers said last week that Hawkins will be honored during the event.

“We will honor his memory in some way,” Jack Sussman, CBS’ executive vice president of specials, music, and live events, confirmed in a statement to Variety. “We want to figure out what is the right thing to do that is respectful to everyone involved. We’re patient. We’ll be planning right up until the very end.”
