The news comes days after US Weekly reported that the two had obtained the marriage license from the Johnston County District Court Clerk in Oklahoma on June 29. Oklahoma state law gives couples a 10-day window to get married after purchasing the license and the wedding ceremony needs to take place within state lines.

The couple got to know each other when Stefani joined ‘The Voice‘ as a judge. In 2015, Shelton filed for divorce from his former wife, Miranda Lambert. Stefani and her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale also separated the same year after 14 years of marriage.
