Actor Dhanush is one of the
finest talents of Kollywood. He is an all-rounder and has managed to excel in
every role he has played. No one expected him to achieve these great heights
during his early career and was often criticised.
From being an ace actor and
singer to a fine director the ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’ boy has progressed
steadily through his career.
On his 38th
birthday, let’s take a look at some of his blockbuster movies that were remade
in other languages.
Kaadhal Kondein
Dhanush left
his fans amazed when he played the character of a psychotic young man in the
romantic thriller ‘Kaadhal Kondein’.
Directed by Selvaraghavan, the film was one of the super hits and was remade in
Telugu as ‘Nenu’, in Bengali Bangladesh as Onno Manush, in Kannada as ‘Ravana’,
and in Indian Bengali as ‘Amanush’.
Maari
Directed by Balaji Mohan, Dhanush essayed the
character of a local gangster in ‘Maari’. His look was appreciated by his fans and
he was paired with actor Kajal Aggarwal in the movie. The great response of
‘Maari’ in the Southern states, led the film to be remade in Bengali as
‘Bossgiri’.
Kodi
Dhanush once
again proved that he is here to stay with his dual-action drama ‘Kodi’.
Directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, he was paired up with Trisha for the
first time. ‘Kodi’ is a movie
