Alicia Silverstone, 46, previously posed in the buff for PETA multiple times to advocate going vegan and to speak out against wearing wool. Now, for a new campaign with PETA, she gets completely nude once more.

This time, she is criticising the leather business and urging designers and clients to look instead for eco-friendly substitutes like mushroom, cactus, and apple leather. The advertisement, which took its cue from the cactus alternative, says, “Don’t be a pr**k, wear vegan.”

The Clueless star, who became a vegan in 1999, has long advocated for animal welfare. Silverstone’s attitude conveys how serious she is despite the humour in the advertisement’s phrase choice, as she looks directly into the camera while covering her privates.

“I never, ever, get naked in TV, in film, nothin’, never, nope — but I’ve done it for PETA because that’s how much it matters to me,” Silverstone says in  an exclusive video interview uploaded by PETA on YouTube, in which she explains leather’s devastating effects on the planet.

In the video, Silverstone urges that, “The amount of resources, water, food, oil for transport, the amount of energy that goes into making leather is extraordinary.” She adds by emphasising, “It’s just not sustainable. The Earth can’t handle it.”

The organization’s new “Prickly” advertisement portrays the actress in a desert wearing nothing but cowboy boots in a cactus field. The actress is well-known for her revolutionary work to protect animals.

She says in the video which features behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot, “My dream is to get these vegan, earth-friendly materials into the hands of famous designers,”The San Franciscan reiterates, donning a lovely blush-colored robe outdoors before the shoot, “I’d rather go naked than wear animals.”

This is not the first time Silverstone has exposed herself in the interest of the ethical treatment of animals, as she appeared nude for the non-advertisements profit’s back in 2020, in the interest of the ethical treatment of animals.

The actor is seen in the advertisement emerging naked from a swimming pool and listing the benefits of eliminating meat from your diet.

Silverstone acknowledged that she hasn’t always been this healthy. “I wasn’t always a vegetarian, but I’ve always loved animals”, she stated in a statement at the time. “Physically, the effect has been amazing,” she added.
