Prince Azim, the son of Sultan of Brunei who worked briefly as a producer in Hollywood, died at the age of 38 on Saturday. Prince Azim, who was fourth in line to the throne, died in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei, the government announced on the national radio. Azim’s funeral was held later on Saturday. 

The government said the country has entered a seven-day mourning period and people should dress accordingly. The cause of his death has not been disclosed, however, some reports say that he was ill for some time. 

Azim had produced Hollywood movies that include”You’re Not You” “Dark Places”, “The Time of Their Lives” among others.  

The leaders of several nations expressed their condolences, as Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore Prime Minister, Azim “was known for his kind and generous spirit, and for his dedication to charitable, educational, and youth causes.”

The Indonesian Embassy, in a statement, said Azim “will always be remembered fondly.”
