Hospital Playlist Season 2 episode 8 was one of the longest episodes this season. The main focus of this episode was parents and their adult children. And as usual, the latest episode saw the protagonists of the show go about their daily life centred around patients, and parents.
The previous episode ended with Ahn Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok) left alone at the cathedral waiting for Jang Gyeo-ul (Shin Hyun-been). Gyeo-ul had to rush to her mother as she was injured severely.
In the latest episode, the Winter-Garden couple was seen texting and talking over the phone. It was clearly visible that Jeong-won missed Gyeo-ul.

While dealing with these emotions Jeong-won also discovered that his mother Rosa (Kim Hae-sook) has been forgetful over the past couple of days.
Lee Jeong-soo (Kim Kap-soo) rushes Rosa to the Yulje Medical Centre after she hurts herself in the night. Jeong-won asks Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do) to take a look at his mother’s case. Song-hwa diagnosed Rosa with Hydrocephalus, a fluid buildup in the brain.
Jeong-won beats himself up for not realising about his mother’s serious condition. Rosa was visibly happy that she did not have Alzheimer’s. Rosa and Jeong-won spend some quality time together.

Gyeo-ul surprised Jeong-won when she visits Rosa at the VIP ward. After meeting Rosa Gyeo-ul and Jeong-won enjoy some quality time together.
Song-hwa also received a piece of shocking news that her mother has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Song-hwa was unable to cope up with the news and grieving throughout the episode.
She postponed her upcoming conferences and cancelled her sessions to help the residents in her thesis.
Only Lee Ik-jun (Jo Jung-seok) was aware of Song-hwa’s condition so he begins to stop people from entering her office to give her some time alone.
Yang Seok-hyeong (Kim Dae-myung) skipped the band practice after receiving an emergency text. To replace Seok-hyeong, Jeong-won and Ik-jun brought Rosa to play the keyboard.

Seok-hyeong visited Chu Min-ah who fainted due to period cramps. Hong-do (Bae Hyun-sung) had accidentally mentioned Min-ah’s condition in the Yulje professor’s chat group.
While all other professors send a ‘get well soon’ text Seok-hyung rushed to stay by Min-ah’s side. Min-ah was happy to see Seok-hyung by her side that she started to cry.
Kim Jun-wan (Jung Kyung-ho) missed his train to Seoul after his visit to his hometown. He then travelled to a nearby town to take a bus. The episode ends with Jun-wan meeting Lee Ik-sun (Kwak Sun-young) in the bus.
