Spotify Wrapped,
the long-awaited annual recap of Spotify users’ music playlist for this year officially dropped on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

The music-streaming
platform Spotify will be sharing its in-app personalised user experience with all
users. The personalised cards will include their most played artists, songs,
favourite genre, minutes of music played as well as a message from their most
played artist for some users.

Apart from the story cards that users can share on their social media which have been curated based
on their preferred musical taste, Spotify Wrapped 2022 will also provide a
playlist of the top 101 songs played by them.

To get your own
Spotify personalised cards, follow these steps:

updated to the platform’s latest version. If not, you can go to Playstore (for
Android) or App Store (for iOS) and update the app.

Once the
streaming service app is updated, open the app and you should see a prompt on
the homepage to check out your top artists and more.

Spotify Wrapped is
a marketing campaign by Spotify that annually releases at the end of each year,
giving users an insight into their listening activities. It was first released
in December 2016 and created the ‘FOMO effect’, as described by the company’s
head of marketing, which encouraged more people to turn towards this app, since
it gave them data to share with their known ones.

The 2022 Wrapped came with a number
of new features, including custom messages from over 40,000 artists from around the
world, including Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish among many more. In the past, Spotify introduced a new feature of blended playlists with friends.
