Emily Blunt has revealed that Tom Cruise used harsh words to motivate her on the set of their 2014 film Edge of Tomorrow. In a recent interview, Blunt recalled a moment when Cruise shouted at her, telling her to “stop being such a p***y” during a difficult scene.

The scene in question involved Blunt’s character, Rita Vrataski, undergoing intense physical training. Blunt said she was struggling with the demanding choreography and was feeling overwhelmed. That’s when Cruise, who was playing the role of Major William Cage, stepped in to give her some encouragement.

“We were doing this really intense scene and I was struggling with the choreography,” Blunt said. “I was just really struggling and Tom, God bless him, he just stopped everything and he just went, ‘Emily, stop being such a p***y. You can do this. I have complete faith in you. Now get on with it.'”

Blunt said she was shocked by Cruise’s words at first, but that they ultimately helped her to push through the scene. “It was very bizarre, but it worked,” she said. “It just made me laugh and I was able to continue. And I have to say, I’m grateful to him for that. It was a turning point for me.”
