Musician Travis Barker, who was hospitalised earlier this week due to “life-threatening” pancreatitis, took to Instagram on Saturday to give an update on his health.

“I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since. During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life-threatening pancreatitis,” the 46-year-old recalled.

“I am so very very grateful that with intensive treatment, I am currently much better,” Barker added.

The Blink-182 drummer was first rushed to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center on Tuesday morning and was later transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after he showed symptoms like nausea, intense stomach pain and vomiting.

Barker’s wife Kourtney Kardashian said on Saturday that they were “so touched and appreciative” for the support they’ve received.

“Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis,” she wrote in an Instagram story.

“It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me,” she added.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with concern to my ex and father of my children, I know he is in great hands and surrounded by loving support and the best medical teams available and his beautiful wife Kourtney [Kardashian],” said Moakler in a statement to Us Weekly.
