Eleven years ago today, the English-Irish pop boy band One Direction, often shortened to 1D, was formed by Simon Cowell. The group initially composed of Zayn Malik. Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson. Malik, however, departed from the group in March 2015. The other members released an album together four months later, however, in 2016, they announced they were going to take a “break”. Following this, each member of the band successfully flourished as solo artists.
