Abundantia Entertainment has signed a deal with Ananey Studios of Paramount Global to develop an Indian remake of the popular Israeli show The Hood.

This Israeli show was originally titled Shchuna and was created by Giora Chamizer. It premiered in 2014 and has three seasons. The story revolves around a group of teenagers who lived in a small slum located in the heart of a wealthy settlement. All of them were good friends and they explored the differences and problems between the poor and the rich. The Hood is a very popular series among young adults. This series provides the viewers with a perfect blend of strong, inspirational protagonists through whom people get to see a rich and fictional world. The series also offers various twists throughout its three seasons.

Abundantia Entertainment recently launched two new verticals, Psych and Filters to focus on potential segments and genres. This remake will be produced under the new vertical of Filters which mainly focuses on young adult content.

Abundantia Entertainment is also working on the remake of other Israeli shows like The Missing and Along Came a Spyder.
