“Indiana Jones” actor Harrison Ford recently in an interview banished all the rumors of him retiring. Though the actor is now 80 years old.

He recently affirmed that his involvement with the Indiana Jones adventure may have come to an end, but his acting career is still going strong.

Ford stated in a podcast interview with CNN’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace that he would prefer to continue working in the entertainment business rather than retire. He said he is actively seeking out new film and television projects to participate in. 

The actor is anticipated to appear on the silver screen soon in “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny”, which will be the franchise’s last film. Ford claimed that “I don’t, I don’t — I don’t do well when I don’t have work,” showing interest in future projects.

Next month, Ford will be turning 81 years old, but the veteran actor is in no mood to slow down. Ford in the podcast expressed his love for acting. “’It is the people that you get to work with. The intensity and the intimacy of collaboration. It’s the combined ambition somehow forged from words on a page”, he added. “’I don’t plan what I want to do in the scene and I don’t feel obliged to do anything.”

Ford played the lead in movies of many genres and is largely regarded as an American cultural icon. With over $5.4 billion in North America and over $9.3 billion globally, his outstanding filmography has achieved enormous box office success. He is now North America’s seventh-highest-grossing actor thanks to this remarkable accomplishment.

Ford has received various honors in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the cinema business, including the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2000, the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2002, an Honorary César in 2010, and an Honorary Palme d’Or in 2023.
