Professional wrestler Jamin Pugh, ring name Jay Briscoe, died in a car accident in Laurel, Delaware. He was one half of the tag team The Briscoe Brothers. AEW and ROH owner Tony Khan shared the news on Twitter on Tuesday evening.
“Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away,” Khan wrote. “Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin,” Khan said.

Jay’s brother Mark Pugh, ring name Mark Briscoe, is also a professional wrestler. Currently, the duo is signed with Ring of Honor. Mark is one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions with Jay in their thirteenth reign. He is also a former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion. Mark was born on January 18, 1985.

Career
During his more than 20 years-long wrestling career, Briscoe was most well known for his time in Ring of Honor with his brother Mark Briscoe. The Briscoes have been part of Ring of Honor since 2002. The duo was 13-time ROH Tag Team Champions that also recently won the titles against FTR last month at ROH Final Battle. Jay has also been their world champion twice as a singles competitor. The brothers are also in the ROH Hall of Fame that were inducted in the inaugural Hall of Fame that was announced last year. He was also a father and a chicken farmer from Delaware.
