Friends actor Jennifer Aniston has discredited the rumours of her dating former co-star David Schwimmer. The rumours began to fly after Schwimmer, during a special episode of Friends Reunion confessed to having a major crush on Jennifer. In reply, Jennifer had said, “it was reciprocated”.

In the latest interview, Jennifer dubbed the rumours as bizarre. “That was bizarre. I could not believe that, actually. Like, really? That’s my brother,” ET quoted Jennifer as telling Rachel Smith and Reese Witherspoon.

“But I understand it, though. It just shows you how hopeful people are for fantasies, for dreams to come true,” she added.

Earlier, representatives for both Jennifer and Schwimmer had denied the dating rumours. There was one rumour that Schwimmer even visited Jennifer at her place in Los Angeles and both spent time with each other.

While Jennifer played Rachel Green and Ross Gellar was aced by David Schwimmer.

“The first season, we– I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said during the HBO Max reunion.

Aniston replied, “It was reciprocated.”

During the episode, Schwimmer said: “At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other. But it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship. And we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”

The Friends Reunion got four Emmy nominations and Jennifer wasn’t expecting that.

“It’s very exciting, and it was, kind of, not even expected,” she said. “We’re in the same category as Hamilton, so that’s the closest I’ll get to a Broadway show. But yes, that was a nice surprise.”

Reese Witherspoon also appeared on Friends as Jennifer’s friend. At that interview, she spoke about how the sitcom played a big role in her life.

“I cried three times watching you guys. It reminds me of a time in my life. So y’all lived it, but we watched it, and it was important to me. I remember having a little baby and being a mom and you guys were my friends.”
