Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was airlifted on Sunday after
the safety feature on his Snowcat plow failed and sent it rolling over his
legs. The actor was alone and trying to clear a path out of his Lake Tahoe home
when the machine accidentally ran over one of his legs, causing him to lose a
considerable amount of blood, reported TMZ.
According to the report, after the sudden accident, the
area was treated like an active crime scene. One of Renner’s neighbors, who’s a
doctor, managed to put a tourniquet on the Hawkeye actor’s leg until paramedics
arrived to fly home to the hospital.

The actor was in “critical but stable condition” after the
injury. “His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care,” Renner’s
spokesperson said in a statement.

Renner was born on January 7, 1971, to his mother Valerie
Cearley, and father Lee Renner. His father managed McHenry Bowl, a Modesto
bowling alley, in the 1980s. His parents married as teenagers and divorced when
he was ten.
Career
Renner graduated from Fred C Beyer High School in Modesto
in 1989. He studied at Modesto Junior College, where he studied computer
science and criminology. He started his career by working in independent films
such as Dahmer and Neo Ned. He appeared in supporting roles in films such as
SWAT and 28 Weeks Later. Renner was nominated for the Academy Award for Best
Actor for his performance in The Hurt Locker and Best Supporting Actor for his
performance in The Town.

He played Clint Barton/Hawkeye, a member of the Avengers in
various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and web series beginning with the 2011

The Bourne Legacy, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, American Hustle, Mission:
Impossible – Rogue Nation, and Arrival.

Jeremy Renner married Canadian model Sonni Pacheco on
January 13, 2014. Their union lasted only for a year and they filed for divorce in
December 2014 citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce turned very bitter
and resulted in a lengthy legal battle. Renner and Pacheco share custody of
their daughter.
Renner has been romantically linked to a few different
actresses throughout his decades-long career. In 2011, he was rumored to be
dating Entourage actress Janet Montgomery and even had a fling with Rashida
Jones in 2015, according to Yahoo.
