John Mayer will go on his first-ever solo acoustic tour, the musician revealed on Thursday.

“Solo Tour 2023. Just like the early days. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing – all on acoustic, electric, and piano. Hope to see you there… John,” the Gravity hitmaker tweeted.

Social media users are thrilled, but others are also disappointed that the artist is just doing a US tour and not a global one.

Mayer recently revealed that his Grammy-winning song Your body is a wonderland was about his then-girlfriend. “That was about my first girlfriend. That was about the feeling, which I think was already sort of nostalgic… I was 21 when I wrote that song and I was nostalgic for being 16,” Mayer told the podcast host of Call Her Daddy.
