Johnny Depp’s appearance at the Cannes Film Festival became the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. Although he attended the event for the premiere of his new film, Jeanne Du Barry, all people could talk about were his teeth, which appeared to be rotting and browning.

Although fans were really excited about the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor making a comeback after having stayed away from the limelight following a very public feud with his ex-wife, Amber Heard, they were put off by the actor’s teeth which did not look hygienic at the French Festival. After Heard accused him of having physically and mentally abused her, Depp won a highly publicized defamation trial against Heard.

“Johnny Depp’s teeth are literally ROTTING,” one fan wrote alongside photos of the actor. “Johnny Depp’s new movie, #JeanneDuBarry, debuts with a metacritic score of 51, an F rating. The score is currently as yellow as his teeth. Congratulations!” another added.

“Why do i have to see closeup pics of johnny depp’s teeth against my will,” one user asked, while a fourth said, “Johnny depp just looks like someone grabbed his teeth and painted them black.”

However, not everyone focused on his teeth. Some of them also have him props for his movie, which is a French biographical drama. After the movie, the actor got received a seven-minute standing ovation.

According to Variety, the audience broke out in wild cheers after witnessing his performance as King Louis XV, causing Depp to fight back tears.
