‘The Beatles’ icon Paul McCartney was joined by Bruce Springsteen on Thursday night on stage to perform ‘Glory Days’ and ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’ at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.

The duo performed at the final show of McCartney’s ‘Got Back’ tour.

This isn’t the first time that the two icons have reunited onstage. In July 2012, Springsteen performed ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ ‘Twist and Shout’ at McCartney’s show at London’s Hyde Park.

On the other hand, Thursday’s event took the rock factor up a notch with the arrival of ‘Bon Jovi’ frontman Jon Bon Jovi, who gave balloons and sang “Happy Birthday” to McCartney, who will be turning 80 on Sunday.

“Has anybody in the audience got a birthday?” McCartney asked, according to a report by Variety.

“I know it’s somebody’s birthday,” Bon Jovi said, making his entry with balloons in front of an audience of 50,000 people.

Acknowledging the crowd wishing him in unison, McCartney said, “Yeah, you’re right. I’ve got a birthday coming up. I’m not trying to ignore it, but …”

McCartney mesmerized the crowd with his strong melodic voice at the show, with rain briefly interrupting during the ‘Live and Let Die’ performance. Earlier in the show, he told the audience, “I’m gonna take a moment for myself just to drink it all in.”

Springsteen then closed the concert by playing ‘Abbey Road’ on the guitar and trading solos with the band.

The ‘Got Back’ US tour, which began April 28 in Spokane, Washington, and included tour locations such as Los Angeles, Orlando, Boston, and Baltimore, came to a close with Thursday’s performance by the trio.

McCartney will next be seen headlining UK’s Glastonbury Festival on June 24.
