The star of popular Korean
dramas “Itaewon Class” and “My Private Life”, Ahn Bo-hyun has been busy
preparing for the premiere of his upcoming show “My Name”.

The series will revolve
around the life of a woman who joins a gang to avenge the demise of her father.
It has been directed by Kim Jin-min and slated for a release on popular
streaming platform Netflix.

The 33-year-old star revealed
that he has enjoyed his seven-year-long journey in the entertainment sector. He
has made great memories and had a chance to collaborate with a number of
talented faces.

In an interview with
PTI Ahn Bo-hyun revealed, “I’m enjoying the journey so far. It’s such an
honor to work with a good partner like Netflix this time around. I have worked
tirelessly for the past 6 to 7 years without a break any longer than a month,
and I am just so happy to be able to finally work with Netflix, a service that
I like and use often, and with director Kim Jin-min, whom I admire,”

The Korean actor
originally debuted as a model but chose to row another boat. He made his acting
debut in 2014 by making small appearances in several television series
including Golden Cross, Two Mothers and My Secret Hotel.

 He performed the role of a recurring character
in the popular action romance drama “Descendants of the Sun”. The show
performed well all-around Asia, especially in countries like India, Singapore
and Sri Lanka.

The actor’s big break
can be attributed to “Itaewon Class” where he performs a villainous role. His
character is a bully who is responsible for the murder of the series lead’s
father in a hit and run accident.

Speaking of his
upcoming series “My Name” the actor told PTI, “I am reminded of all the great
memories of working with amazing actors and staff members. I feel so blessed
and excited that I am part of such great memories and a great series”

He added, “Undercover stories are usually about a
person going undercover as a gang member, but ‘My Name’ is different because
Ji-woo goes undercover as a police officer. The story is quite new in that
sense, and there is a lot more in it that goes beyond your imagination, so I
hope you enjoy the show,”

The upcoming show also features Kim Sang-ho, Lee
Hak-joo and Chang Yull. It will be aired on Netflix on October 15.
