Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut welcomed the new year with a visit to Tirupati Balaji and the Rahu Ketu temple to seek blessings for a ‘memorable’ 2022.
She posted a string of pictures on Instagram with the note, “Happy New year to everyone…Starting this year with blessings from Tirupati Balaji…Hope this one is a memorable one.”
In another post, she mentioned the things she prayed for, “There is only one Rahu Ketu temple in the world…. It’s very close to Tirupati Balaji….performed some rituals there …. Out of five elemental Lingas, Vayo ( air element) Linda is also situated here …. Quite a remarkable place …. I went there to have the mercy of my beloved enemies, in this year I want less Police complains / FIR’s and more love letters.”

The actor has often found herself entangled in controversy for her allegedly problematic comments, as a result of which, she also got her Twitter account permanently suspended in May 2021.

A Twitter spokesperson had said Kangana’s account was suspended for repeated violations, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy.”
The actor has claimed that Twitter’s move shows an alleged race bias. “Twitter has only proved my point they’re Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do. I have many platforms I can use to raise my voice, including my own art in the form of cinema,” Kangana said in a statement to ANI.

Kangana was last seen in the film ‘Thalaivi‘, in which she played late J Jayalalithaa.
She is currently shooting for her next production venture ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur.
