Kanye West can’t seem to stop making headlines. This time its for changing his Instagram profile picture to that of his former mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.

Over the past few months, the 45-year-old rapper has been taking pot shots at the 66-year-old socialite although this change in profile pictures might be an attempt to mend broken bridges and make amends.

Kanye’s logic was outlined in a Story he posted on the social media platform, writing, “I POSTED KRIS WITH THOUGHTS OF PEACE AND RESPECT. LETS CHANGE THE NARRATIVE.”

Earlier in September the Gold Digger singer said that he felt that his ex-wife Kim Kardashian had been forced by Jenner to do the infamous 2007 Playboy shoot. He even went so far as to post a snap of Kylie Jenner’s right-hand woman Victoria Villarroel on his Instagram, writing in the caption, “Don’t let Kris make you do Playboy like she made Kylie and Kim do.

Last year, Kim Kardashian in a bonus scene of Keeping Up With The Kardashians alluded to the fact that she regretted the 2007 Playboy shoot she had posed nude for by shaking her head when asked about it. “”I would say don’t be so trusting,” Kardashian had said at the time, adding, “But still keep your open heart and trust the universe.” Kris Jenner had overseen the entire shoot and had served as her encouragement at the time.

Kanye went to call Hollywood a “giant brothel and that “pornography destroyed my family.” The singer’s comments about the Playboy shoot and his rant didn’t sit well with the matriarch of the Kardashian family. Kris Jenner reportedly thought that Kanye was “way out of line,” according to sources.

A source told Hollywood Life that Kris was “really hurt by his comments, and she let him know this.” At the time, Kanye had also posted screenshots of what looked to be messages from Kim but that post has since been deleted.
