Maharashtra

Saurashtra

Answer: Andhra

Chawla refuses to take a risk on the money she has already won and decides to quit the game.

Kavita Chawla is a homemaker from Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Life has not been easy for Chawla. When she was in the 10th standard, her extended family wanted her to quit formal education. But her persistence paid off and her parents and teachers helped her continue studying. This, however, lasted for only two years and she had to give up education after her 12th standard exams.

But Chawla persisted again. Her appearance in the 14th edition of KBC is her second appearance on the quiz show. Last year, in the 13th season, Kavita Chawla had come to the contest but could not make it through the fastest-finger-first round.

“Last year,
when I couldn’t reach the hotseat from the fastest-finger-first round, I was so
heartbroken. I remember sitting on the set and crying my heart out,” Chawla
told The Indian Express.

“Amitabh Bachchan ji then came forward and told me to not be demotivated. His words kept echoing in my mind and I decided to come back, this time with the mission to win,” she added.
