The longest railway line in the world is the Trans-Siberian Railway which is a network of railways connecting West Russia with the Russian Far East. It is 9289 kilometres from Moscow, the capital of Russia to Vladivostok, which is situated along the Sea of Japan.
Tsarevich Nicholas supervised the building of the Trans-Siberian railways between 1891 and 1916. It takes eight days to complete the journey.
