The duo captioned the video, saying “Presenting Kesariya version by Stony Kakkar & Sneha Kakkar”, and added, “Comments mein batao kiski dance jyada buri thi”, which translates to “tell us whose dance was worse in the comments”.

The mellow track from the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starring movie has already melted hearts and given rise to several other parodies and memes online, with one user noting expressing the commonly-held belief that the “Love Storiyan” part ruins the overall mood of the song. “Kesariya will never be the same again this makes Love Storiyan sound so much better”, they said.

Another user jokingly noted that the song doesn’t have many lyrics. It begins and ends with “ishq hai piya”.

Throughout the video, Gaur kept pressing her cheeks to imitate Neha Kakkar’s dimples, while Mayur chose an outfit reminiscent of Tony’s wardrobe. Their parody became popular enough to elicit an appreciative comment from Tony Kakkar, who said “Hahaha.. This is too good Yaar [friend], Best video I saw today”.

Gaur and Mayur do a good job of imitating the siblings’ dance moves while grooving to the high-tempo beats of the song. In three days the video garnered over three lakh likes, with several others expressing their appreciation.

“So on point! And this is actually such a nice twist to the original”, one user commented.

The next song from Ayan Mukherji’s film is titled Deva Deva and will release on August 8. Apart from Ranbir-Alia, the movie also stars Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Brahmastra is slated to release on September 9, 2022, and Alia Bhatt also shared a clip of the film’s journey including the director’s vision for the action-drama.
