When it comes to his personal life, actor Vijay Deverakonda has always remained mum. He recently revealed when he would not openly reveal his relationship status on Koffee with Karan season 7‘s fourth episode alongside Liger co-star Ananya Pandey.

He explained why he would not openly disclose his relationship status ahead of the show.

He stated – “The day I will marry and have kids, I will say it out loud; until then I would not like to hurt anyone who adores me. There are so many people who love you as an actor and have your poster on their wall, on their phones. They give me so much love and appreciation; I don’t want to break their heart.”

Vijay Deverakonda has frequently made headlines due to rumours that he is dating Arjun Reddy co-star Rashmika Mandana. They were previously reported to be getting married soon. Vijay and Rashmika have previously stated that they are nothing more than good friends. The two actors have appeared in films such as Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.

In the promo which was released on July 26, the actor revealed why he keeps his relationship private and his thoughts on being Sara Ali Khan‘s “cheese’.  

Sara Ali Khan previously named Vijay Deverakonda on Koffee With Karan when asked who she wants to date in the film industry. Vijay responded to Sara by calling her the ‘cutest.’ “I love how you say ‘Deverakonda,'” he wrote on social media. Cutest. I’m sending big hugs and my love (heart emoji).”

Vijay will next be seen in Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film Liger. The film, which marks his Bollywood debut, is produced by Karan Johar and stars Ananya. After multiple delays due to the pandemic, the film will be released on August 25.
