Laney Chantal, a star of Face Off, the reality TV show, died from a heroin overdose.

The 33-year-old makeup artist was discovered deceased on October 31. Her family announced the awful news in a public obituary.

Following her tragic passing, her friends expressed their sorrow on social media, with fellow artist Gabriella Accarino describing the Missouri native as “irreplaceable.”

Laney, whose birth name is Alaina Chantal Parkhurst, received a heartfelt homage from her: “Laney was more than a best friend. She was my sister and soulmate. She was a genuine, sensitive, talented, and beautiful soul.”

“We communicated with each other without saying a word. It was the most profound connection I have felt with someone. Laney’s art and her spirit are irreplaceable, and she made the world a better place. My last memory with her was riding on four wheelers in Michigan until sunset. You deserved the world, and you were loved by so many people. You forever changed my life and taught me, unconditional love. You were a gift in my life, and I will cherish every moment I spent with you. I will carry you in my heart forever, Laney. I know that we will meet again,” Accarino added.

She included a few pictures of the two of them together with her tribute, as well as examples of Laney’s work.

Jeordie, Laney’s ex-husband, also posted a tearful note mourning her untimely passing.

He claimed that even though the couple parted ways, their love “never faded.”

“There are no words to describe the grief I’m experiencing and far too many to describe the joy that you’ve brought into a dark world.
I am mourning your sudden loss, but if grief is the price we pay for the love and happiness we once shared, this pain is worth it. We grew and lived so much together, that, even though the shape of our love changed and we parted ways, it never, ever faded.”

She “did not die in vain” since her memory is a “blessing,” he added, adding that she brought “love, purity, and beauty to the world.”

In 2013, the celebrity gained notoriety on the FaceOff makeup competition series on the SyFy network.

She gained notoriety in the entertainment sector and even worked as the primary makeup artist for the Video of the Year at the MTV Music Awards in 2021.

She has collaborated with people including Bella Thorne, Marilyn Manson, and Lil Nas X.
