The 2022 World Cup is set to kick off next month and rapper Lil Baby has just dropped the the official anthem for the football event, titled, The World is Yours to Take, with a sample from Tears For Fears.
The song is one of the first songs to appear as part of the official soundtrack of the upcoming 2022 World Cup, which is being hosted by Qatar. As the date for the tournament approaches, Lil Baby will collaborate with artists from other countries to produce eight different versions of the song.

As the song kicks off, Lil Baby starts off rapping, “I’m by far one of the hardest workers / Real firm believer in practice makes perfect / You can gather all the water, stay thirsty / Took a lot to get us here, we broke curses.” He goes on to reference COVID-19 and celebrates the fact that everybody is back outside. As his verse ends, the refrain kicks in, sampling Everybody Wants to Rules the World by Tears For Fears.

This is considered to be one of Lil Baby’s best years in his career. The My Turn rapper released Detox earlier this month as well as appearing twice on DJ Khaled’s 13th studio album. But that’s not all, the rapper announced his third solo album, It’s Only Me. His previous releases, 2020′ My Turn, which went quadruple platinum this year and 2021’s The Voice of Heroes, which reached No 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
