Rapper Lil Nas X threw a baby shower on Wednesday ahead of giving birth to his baby — the album “Montero.” However, the American rapper in a subsequent post said “spent hours setting up for my baby shower and no one showed up.”
The “Old Town Road” rapper’s album will come out on Friday and Lil Nas X flaunted his “bump.”
“About to kick off my baby shower. trying not to cry omg,” he captioned a series of snaps of himself getting ready to enjoy cupcakes and other sweet treats.
A video posted by the rapper showed guests such as Doja Cat, Elton John, and Megan Thee Stallion brought in presents despite the fact that no one showed up to congratulate him. These musicians are, of course, named as contributors on his upcoming debut full-length album.
The video concludes with a picture of the rapper’s behind, and a title board announces that the album will be released on September 17.
The “Panini” rapper started “having contractions” on Thursday morning.
In a follow-up post ahead of the album’s drop date, Lil Nas X, originally known as Montero Lamar Hill, said a video of himself entering labour on a toilet bowl, “Oh I think it’s coming.”
“I think the baby’s coming.”
He also posted a short teaser of his upcoming album which releases tomorrow.
Earlier in the week, the rapper was spotted at the Met Gala 2021 leading up to his album’s release. He also performed at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. With his appearance at the Met Gala, Lil Nas X turned a few heads with his stunning outfit. He did a Lady Gaga-esque striptease on the carpet in gold Versace, from cape to armour to an embellished jumpsuit.
